FastWell Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

FastWell is built on a simple principle: your fasting and weight data belong to you, not to us. This policy is short because there isn't much to say — FastWell has no server, no account system, and no analytics.

What we collect

Nothing. FastWell does not operate any backend servers. There is no FastWell account, no sign-up, and no data of any kind transmitted to us or to any third party by the app.

Where your data lives

Everything you enter into FastWell — fasting sessions, protocol choices, start/end times, and weight log entries — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it yourself (see "Data export" below) or choose to sync it with Apple Health.

Apple Health (HealthKit) — optional

If you choose to connect Apple Health in Settings, FastWell may:

This connection is entirely optional, is off by default, and is governed by Apple's HealthKit privacy framework once enabled. You can disconnect it at any time in the Health app or in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health. FastWell never uploads Health data anywhere — it only reads and writes locally through Apple's on-device HealthKit APIs.

Data export

FastWell lets you export your fasting history and weight log as CSV files from Settings, which you can then share, save, or delete however you like using the standard iOS share sheet. This export happens entirely on-device — FastWell has no involvement in where you choose to send that file.

Subscriptions and payment

FastWell Plus subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. FastWell never sees or stores your payment information, billing address, or Apple ID password. Apple's own privacy policy governs the purchase transaction itself.

Analytics and tracking

FastWell contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers, no crash reporting services, and no third-party tracking libraries of any kind. We do not know how many people use FastWell, how often, or how they use it, because we have deliberately built nothing to tell us.

Notifications

If you enable fast-end reminders in Settings, FastWell schedules a local notification on your device using Apple's UserNotifications framework. This notification is generated and delivered entirely on-device and involves no external server.

Children's privacy

FastWell is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children, in keeping with the fact that we do not collect information from anyone.
